Denial.
It’s not denial. It’s just that I can’t stop thinking about the cast of Succession.
I know how bereft I feel, after the loss of those spiteful characters on their endless campaign of betrayal, but I can’t stop imagining how the actual actors who inhabited them feel. And I say this irresponsibly, with a wild look in eye, imagining that they're a blurred unicorn blend of both their characters in the show Succession, and obsessive fans of the show Succession, opposed to what they actually are, which is of course, extremely professional actors who are entirely capable of moving on, and probably already have. But if you’re going to be immortalised in something people are calling One of the Greatest of All Time of anything, isn’t there a chance you’ll never escape it and isn’t there another part of you that might never want to?
I’m Not A Serious Person, so when I think of J. Smith Cameron, in her feather-trim pyjamas, I like to confuse her situation with Gerri’s. She’s out of a job and she’s drinking a martini. Maybe Kieran Culkin still texts her, in character; we already know their flirtation was real-world before it was written into the series. Why wouldn’t he want to feel like a billionaire every now and again? Is this fan-fiction or libel?
