Here's Your First Look at 'The Wife' - Electric Literature

What do you think of ‘and then the character wrote a book about it’ as a way of ending a novel? Seems like it should be a cop-out. I know it’s a thing that makes us groan sometimes, and this is often an extension of the same groan of finding out that the character in the novel you were just enjoying is a writer. Why is this annoying? Is it annoying?! Maybe I am actually not annoyed by it at all… until I am. Let’s talk about writers in books.
