Hahaha I always forget that the majority of readers here are not in the UK and will have no idea what I'm on about! Hope you get to try a Hob Nob one day !!

Please can you write this column every day! (Nods to confirm understanding that this is not viable!)

Reading this reminds me of the time I worked in Sainsbury’s and I know there is very little correlation between the two but I also came up with names for people. Customers were as regular as clockwork at times, the old lady who looked like Paddington Bear who always came in on a Saturday evening for her reduced bargains. She would present things to me, which at first I would politely tell her weren’t being reduced. She was a cheeky rascal!

I think the dragging of my bright pink flared cords when I was 16 is the reason I no longer wear anything other than tights…. No soggy hemlines here 😂

I read Last Seen Online when it was previously online and it was brilliant.

So this is slightly off topic, but was it you who recommended Butter? The Japanese murder/food/patriarchy book? I'm dying to discuss and hoping it was you who recommended it because I very much want your take... Toodles for now, loved this RFTB as always!

I'm afraid it was not! I haven't read it and have heard mixed things from trustworthy sources...

The translation is so clunky but I was plowing ahead because I thought it came from the person who gave me North Woods (prayer emoji). And it’s a phenomenon in Japan? But now my interest in this wacky meek protagonist is fading…

Oh, YAY! I bought ORDINARY HUMAN FAILINGS but couldn't remember why. Seems like a good reason!
