My Auntie borrowed The Complete Works of Shakespeare from Brent Library in 1969, I now have it. Who knows what the fine would be now! Love that my Friday reading includes your fantastic tales from the bookshop frontline x
The weekend doesn't start until this drops! I have proofs of The Lantern of Lost Memories, Rewitched and Somewhere Beyond the Sea. Looking forward to them all.
I read the landlord bit, and immediately pictured a very suave David Tennant as Crowley, in Good Omens, just sauntering in as he does 😀
As soon as I saw the words yummy granola I knew you were not destined to eat said granola
Always intrigued by the visitors -not customers- you get. The chewing lady has stolen my heart this week 😂
Thanks so much for including Watts and Whiskerton. I’m so excited that I’m in the actual Receipt, and that my books are in the shop.
The "slice of life" asides you overhear are some of my favourite bits from your day! Your Friday round-ups always make me smile. Thank you.
I ordered (not stole!!) that very Fitzcarraldo from you the other day! It arrived so quickly, thank you! X

Indeed a weird place to chew! Loved this week’s receipt, it made me smile. Thank you.
Love this
There is a wonderful website:
bookseriesinorder.com that does just what it says. I love it!
Stealing a Fitzcarraldo would be an absolute top tier level crime. But an Emily Henry? Just take it.
I took a book from Reading library in 1984 and my parents still have it. It’s a Jules Verne novel, think it was “Journey to the centre of the earth”?

Enjoy Club Day, sounds great!
I decided that I'd also leave my front door open to listen to snippets of people's conversation, but now I've changed my mind.
